I commenced studying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in early 1996.
My membership of AAT allowed exemption from the first four papers, leaving a further ten to pass.
Over a period of four consecutive sittings from June 1996 to December 1997 and whilst simultaneously studying for an Open University degree, I passed the following papers:-

I was admitted as a member in May 1998 and attained fellowship in May 2003.
In May 2002, I attended and passed at the first attempt the Audit Orientation Course and Test, entitling me to a Practising Certificate that allows me to offer audit, accounting and taxation services to the general public.

Accounting Technicians)
I commenced studying for AAT in April 1990, soon after joining my first employer.
My A Levels entitled me to exemption from the first four papers, leaving the following eight that I subsequently passed:-

I was awarded a distinction pass for the final four papers and subsequently admitted as a member in November 1992.
In February 2007 I was awarded fellow membership.
Academic
Bachelor of Science degree, Open University
I have always had an interest in physics, mathematics and technology and some eighteen months after finishing my AAT studies, I embarked upon an Open University degree in those subjects in 1994.
Over the following six years I studied a total of eleven modules and was awarded my degree in May 2000.
